Platinum Member

Graded coins, and whether yours should be.

PCGS and NGC are the two major independent grading services. They authenticate a coin, grade its condition on a 70-point scale and seal it in a tamper-evident holder, called a slab. A graded coin is easier to buy and sell, because both sides can trust what's in it.

Capital Coin is a Platinum Member dealer of both. Our cases are full of graded coins, and we'll tell you honestly whether a coin of yours is worth the cost of grading. Most coins aren't, and some are worth a lot more once they're graded.

We don't submit coins for grading through the shop, but we'll tell you straight whether one of yours is worth sending in.

From our Google reviews

“The guys over at Capital Coin are some of the best around. I’m a fairly new collector and have had nothing but the best experiences with them. The knowledge gained and the patience shown towards me will keep me going back for all my future purchases.”
Fred S., Google review

“Bought several Morgan dollars and Peace dollars at competitive prices compared to some online prices I've seen. I like the in person experience of being able to select pick of the litter rather than to be mailed a random piece in an unknown condition. Stop in and check them out.”

Mike P., Google review

“Great knowledge of coins, collectability and history. Big selection, not all of which are out on display. If you're looking for something and don't see it, just ask.”

David S., Google review

“Professional, knowledgeable, honest, educational, patient.. WOWEEEE this is the place to go.”
